This painting is a bit different from all the others and was a refreshing challenge to pursue. The idea began as an inspiration to paint a Shaolin Master, which then evolved into a more symbolic expression of strength, perseverance, and clarity. In ancient alchemical teachings, dragons often represent emotional energies that, if not well understood, can lead us down impulsive paths. I'm very pleased with how the meaning of this painting has come through.
