🧑‍🎨 Meaning Behind the Painting

Connected to Divine - Unity Art

Connected to Divine was a spontaneous project that happened at my first solo art exhibition in 2018. The original painting is sized 2x2 meters. The reason for such a big painting was that we used the blank canvas on the wall as a surface for the premiere of a short movie about my life's story, which led me into painting and a mission of wholesome life teaching.

After the premiere night, the blank canvas remained on the wall, calling me to create something out of it. Since I had never done such a large painting before, I had no idea where to start or what to paint. I had three weeks to make it happen. Out of nowhere, I began painting one hand (the lower one first), reaching towards the upper left corner, symbolizing reaching towards the sky. The fundamental idea was to capture the feeling one goes through when seeking awakening from collective programming to their true self.

Once the lower hand was finished, I started painting the upper one. At this point, I still had no idea what I was doing, but it began to make sense that as soon as you start seeking something greater, something bigger starts supporting and guiding you into the process of connection. It's the moment when your will aligns with the will of the Universe, and you experience a sense of unity. You no longer lead your life as an individual having individual experiences, but you become a part of the wholeness, having an individual experience to bring more wholeness to wherever you find yourself in space and time.

As I continued painting, the lower right part of the painting started reflecting our materialistic world, while the upper right corner represented the spiritual and energetic vibrational realm.

People passing by often mentioned that the painting reminded them of Michelangelo's masterwork Creation of Adam. Although it was not my intention to recreate something as magnificent as his painting, I now understand what he was trying to convey. The idea is that as much as we may feel separated from the wholeness of life, the wholeness will be separated from us. But as soon as we start striving towards more wholeness, the wholeness starts striving to be more present in our lives until we connect and become whole once again.

Wholeness brings freedom, health, prosperity, abundance, wisdom, and infinite trust. So my prayer for you as an observer of this painting is to find your connection with wholeness, establish it, and devote your life to becoming it, as it generously invites you to remember that it is who you truly are.

I wanted to make my paintings accessible to everyone, which is why I offer these 100% cotton paper prints of my original work. They are made to resemble the original as closely as possible.

What kind of colors do you use for your paintings?

I mainly use acrylic paints, and sometimes oils too, depending on the piece. My favorite acrylic brand is Amsterdam.

How do you come up with themes and ideas for the paintings?

Sometimes, the images arise during meditation, when a visual appears in my mind. Other times, they are inspired by someone else’s moving story, which immediately takes on symbolic meaning. Often, they are the result of my own journey and reflections, intuitively expressed through symbolic imagery.

Each painting represents a symbol of personal transformation or a metaphysical process we undergo during challenging or inspiring periods in life. It serves as a reminder or a source of support, something to hold on to when life feels like it’s falling apart, or a guide toward understanding the often unseen processes at play. Each artwork thus becomes a bridge between the physical and the non-physical experience.
