🧑‍🎨 Meaning Behind the Painting

This painting is called ‘Remembering’.

It was a commission work, for which a person shared with me a few ideas that he feels connected to. I immediately felt inspired to create it, but as I started, it didn’t go anywhere. The process felt empty, so I took a break.

I decided to sit with the intention to receive guidance or a vision for how to put the received ideas together, and after about one hour of sitting in quietness focused on received ideas, this vivid image appeared in my mind’s eye. It was exactly as it is now on the canvas. It inspired me immediately, so I sketched it quickly and the next day started painting it.

It took me more than two months to paint everything, because when you have no reference to look at, you kind of need to let the vision guide you, and I never want to rush this process. I’m very grateful for how it turned out to be.

It symbolises many things, and everyone can find in it their own story.

To me, it shows duality and separation in the lower part, and unity from the center point up, but it is time and understanding of our history that helps us bridge separation with compassion and wisdom for how to treat the future better than we did our past. So the awareness of unity can be practiced in our daily life.

So a person in a meditating position is placed between the moon and sun, but slightly lower, to show respect to nature and to sit in balance between its opposite forces that together form the perfection of nature.

As there is no mistake in the grand cosmos of creation, I hope each of you can find this painting as a reminder that everything is always working in perfect timing, and you will see clearly what to do out of what you know when everything aligns in your life. Be patient. Trust your intuitive knowing, and be willing to be challenged by the currents of life until you learn to surrender control.

Remember your ancient wisdom; it lives through you, dancing in each cell of your body. Your DNA is your life’s code, of which you are the programmer and the witness of the program. They used to call it destiny; we may now call it creation.

I want your canvas print to stay beautiful for years to come. Here's how to care for it:

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed
Never use wet cloths or cleaning solutions on the canvas
Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading
Avoid touching the printed surface if you stretch it
For framed prints, clean the glass occasionally with standard glass cleaner

With basic care, your grace canvas print will maintain its vibrant colors for many years.

FAQ

What kind of colors do you use for your paintings?

I mainly use acrylic paints, and sometimes oils too, depending on the piece. My favorite acrylic brand is Amsterdam.

How do you come up with themes and ideas for the paintings?

Sometimes, the images arise during meditation, when a visual appears in my mind. Other times, they are inspired by someone else’s moving story, which immediately takes on symbolic meaning. Often, they are the result of my own journey and reflections, intuitively expressed through symbolic imagery.

Each painting represents a symbol of personal transformation or a metaphysical process we undergo during challenging or inspiring periods in life. It serves as a reminder or a source of support, something to hold on to when life feels like it’s falling apart, or a guide toward understanding the often unseen processes at play. Each artwork thus becomes a bridge between the physical and the non-physical experience.

Each stretched canvas print is made to order, and we keep very limited physical stock to maintain the uniqueness and exclusivity of each piece.

Once your order is shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link sent to the email address you provided at checkout. All orders of original paintings and canvas prints include a tracking number.
