🧑‍🎨 Meaning Behind the Painting

Hero’s Journey is a work of rare conceptual power, offering an uncompromising narrative of personal mythos, spiritual rebirth, and artistic expression. This one-of-a-kind original captures the delicate balance between chaos and ascension, a visual symphony of mountain peaks, sacred geometry, ancient guardians, and serene higher realms created by artist Gašper Dolinar.

About the painting:

It’s a deeply heroic act for a person to choose their own path in life. It’s not a common choice, which is why it can be the hardest one to make.

And if you choose it anyway, you soon find out that it’s much harder than you thought. There are many potential pitfalls, temptations, comparisons with others, setbacks, and battles with your own “demons.”
But all along, you feel pulled forward, as if an invisible stream of water were showing you an upward path.
And just when you think it’s all about making your dreams possible, you discover that, first and foremost, it’s about learning to befriend the unknown. It’s about entering the cave of your deepest fears while holding firmly to your vision of what might be on the other side.

In the process of confronting yourself, your only hope is the vision and guidance you can’t ignore. Even when it’s subtle, it’s there, telling you that you must continue.

Eventually, you reach the other side of the cave and realise that it was never really about getting there at all, but about discovering how much you needed the entire process.

It’s the journey back to who you were before the world told you who you needed to be.
That’s why the source of guidance comes from the innocent child, with a bird’s-eye view of it all.
Perhaps you see yourself in this painting. I hope you do.

The size of the painting is 70x100 CM, made on the home-stretched canvas covered with glossy varnish for protection.

🖼️ Display Recommendations

Original painting comes stretched on a wooden frame and is ready to hang. For best display, we recommend placing it on a sturdy wall hook or nail in a room with stable temperature and indirect lighting. To preserve its color and texture, avoid direct sunlight and high humidity.

While framing is not required, a minimalist floater frame can improve its presentation. If you choose to frame the original, we advise consulting a professional framer to ensure proper handling and long-term preservation. Allow the artwork some breathing space on the wall to fully appreciate its presence.

🛡️ Care & Maintenance

Each original painting is coated with a gloss polymer varnish for lasting preservation. To clean your artwork, gently use a semi-wet wipe, but avoid excessive moisture. For best care, hang your painting in a dry area away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or damage.

With proper care, your original painting will maintain its colors and artistic integrity for many years.

Daily Visual Reminder

In our busy lives, it's easy to drift from our deepest intentions.

I've found that surrounding ourselves with images that speak to our heart helps us stay connected to what truly matters.

A canvas on your wall can become that quiet friend who reminds you of your path when the world gets too loud.

Feeling the Message to You

When I create these pieces, they often emerge during my own moments of reflection or transformation.

The colors and forms come from something deeper than conscious thought - a visual language that somehow speaks to what we're experiencing inside.

Art has this gentle way of mirroring parts of ourselves we might not see clearly yet - serving as a companion through our challenges and growth.

Made From the Heart

I believe art should be accessible to experience in person, which is why I pour my heart into these original paintings. When you connect with a particular piece, you're responding to something that already exists within you. The art simply makes it visible with its vibrant colors that carry this meaning for years to come.

FAQ

What kind of colors do you use for your paintings?

I mainly use acrylic paints, and sometimes oils too, depending on the piece. My favorite acrylic brand is Amsterdam.

How do you come up with themes and ideas for the paintings?

Sometimes, the images arise during meditation, when a visual appears in my mind. Other times, they are inspired by someone else’s moving story, which immediately takes on symbolic meaning. Often, they are the result of my own transformation, intuitively expressed through symbolic imagery.

Each painting represents a symbol of personal transformation or a metaphysical process we undergo during challenging or inspiring periods in life. It serves as a reminder or a source of support, something to hold on to when life feels like it’s falling apart, or a guide toward understanding the often unseen processes at play. Each artwork thus becomes a bridge between the physical and the non-physical experience.
